Why the sourcing is on every page
A fitness score decides whether a soldier stays on a promotion list. A combined disability rating decides what the VA pays a veteran every month for years. Numbers like that are worth getting exactly right, so each calculator here states which official document it implements and when that document took effect, rather than presenting a figure and asking you to trust it.
- Army Fitness Test scoring — the Army's published scales, approved 15 May 2025, effective 1 June 2025. The AFT replaced the ACFT on that date, so older ACFT calculators score against retired tables.
- VA combined ratings — the method in 38 CFR 4.25 — Combined ratings table, which this site reproduces exactly, including every worked example the regulation itself gives.
- VA compensation rates — the published rate table effective 1 December 2025, which changes each December with the cost-of-living adjustment.
